Pfsense central manager and network objects

Post by along5664 » 11 Jul 2024, 23:57

New to pfsense and dynfi, wanted to ask inside of Dynfi manager
can I create objects that can be used in rules on any of my firewalls? ie like Checkpoint or Palo Alto?
Also do logs from the firewall get sent to the Dynfi? We are looking to maybe use pfsense in some of our
places where we currently have checkpoint. Trying to figure pros and cons of doing this move.

You can create Aliases which can then be spread / re-used on all your devices in various ways.

No DynFi is not a SIEM and does not collect logs from remote firewalls.
You will have to use a collecting server or another server like Splunk or Graylog to do this specific processing.
